Gather around...cop a squat...get all comfy-like. We're here to learn a few new things about Elizabeth Noble and her new release Run for the Roses...I can't wait...*blinks* hold on a sec – this is my blog, I don't have to wait!
Let's get this chat started *winks*...
Who wants to learn a bit about our exquisite
author before we get down to the nitty gritty? Yeah...me too...
About Elizabeth: Elizabeth Noble
started telling stories before she actually knew how to write, and her family
was very happy when she learned to put words on a page. Those words turned into
fan fiction that turned into a genuine love of M/M romance fiction. Being able
to share her works with Dreamspinner is really a dream come true. She has a
real love for all things sci-fi, futuristic, and supernatural and a bit of an
unnatural interest in a super-volcano in Wyoming.
Elizabeth has three grown children and is now happily owned by an adorable mixed breed canine princess named Rosie, and two cats, Murphy and Yeti. She lives in her native northeast Ohio, the perfect place for gardening, winter and summer sports (go Tribe!). When she's not writing she's working as a veterinary nurse, so don't be surprised to see her men with a pet or three who are a very big part of their lives.

Oh I love when pets and animals are incorporated
into a story—gives the story a whole new dimension! I got the lucky opportunity
to ask Elizabeth a couple of questions...you curious? Oh yeah...let's drill the
author!
Soooooooooooooo...
If a new reader stumbled upon Run for the Roses,
what words would you use to convince them they should give it a go?
It’s a terrific story with murder,
mystery, horses and hot men, what’s not to love?
Come on, you can tell us, do you base any of
your characters on your friends or family?
Oh, heck yes! Not so much family,
but people at work or people I encounter repeatedly during my working day.
Do you write better in the wee hours of the
morning or under the cover of darkness at night?
I tend to prefer writing in the
afternoons and evenings. I think it’s a holdover from when my children were
small and nights were the only times I had to myself.
What was the worst bout of writer's block you've
ever come across?
I’ve never had writer’s
block. I think the reason is because I
forge ahead with a story. I can always go back and fix it, edit it and rewrite
it later.
What taboo topic are you a bit skittish about
but would secretly love to take-on in a future book?
I could have come up with a list
prior to a panel I was on at Rainbow Con that addressed just this subject. Now,
I think there isn’t much between consenting adults I wouldn’t write if the
story for it was the right story.
Good stuff I tell you! So, your interest piqued
to hear about this new book with the murder, mystery, horses and hot men (maybe
not quite in that order lol)? I got the goodies for you here!
Blurb: Wanting to end
his pattern of choosing controlling and abusive men, Vladimir ‘Val’ Mihalic
figures it’s better to live alone than live in fear. Just when things are
settling down—his biggest trouble recently is a Kentucky Derby hopeful that
won’t load into a starting gate—his best friend Janelle’s violent ex-boyfriend
kidnaps her. After she’s seriously injured in a car wreck, Wyatt Harig,
Janelle’s estranged father, comes around to tend to his daughter. Despite Val’s
determination to avoid relationships, Wyatt interests him in ways that make his
resolve waver. As complications and repercussions pile on in the aftermath of
Janelle’s kidnapping—including a gambling charge and a murder—Wyatt and Val
must work together to seek answers. And the closer they get to each other, the
more Val wants them to stay that way.
