Tony Porter and Marc Powell had lived in the same house for the past eight years, since their single parents moved in together. When Tony’s mother Marie and Marc’s father Dennis decide to tie the knot at last, it should be an occasion of great joy for everyone. Except all Marc can think about is having to spend the next two weeks with the young man he’s been in love with since he was sixteen.

Tony feels so torn about Marc coming home from college. He keeps telling himself that it’s wrong to feel this way about him. After all, in two weeks’ time they’ll be related. So when the two young men are thrown together to prepare for the wedding, tensions rise and discoveries are made.

It’s going to be a very long two weeks, and a wedding that no one will ever forget.

Excerpt:
Hannah’s sigh filled his ear. “I have some news for you.” Marc said nothing but waited, the skin on the back of his neck getting in on the act. “Tony has a girlfriend.”

Marc swore it was so quiet in his room, he could hear the second hand on his alarm clock as it marked time. Tony has a girlfriend. Well, crap.

“Marc? You still there?”

Marc pulled himself together. “Yeah, sure. So, who’s the lucky girl?” He tried to ignore the ache in his heart.

Well, what did I expect? He’s straight, after all.

He could hear the sympathy in Hannah’s tone. “Marc, you don’t have to pretend. This is me you’re talking to, remember?”

Marc threw his arm across his eyes, as if that would block the images that were firing up in his brain. Tony kissing a girl. Fuck—Tony having sex.

It’ll come. It has to. Only, Marc would make sure he wasn’t around to see it. He could put up with sharing a room with Tony for the rest of the summer, but knowing his soon-to-be stepbrother was off somewhere fucking a girl? That was more than Marc could bear.

He laughed quietly. “I suppose it had to happen sooner or later.”

“Do you think he’d have acted differently if he knew you were gay?”

Marc frowned. “What does me being gay have to do with anything? It’s not like that would change anything, right? Han, he’s straight, no matter how much I might wish it were otherwise.”

“I think you should tell him.” Hannah’s words were soft.

Marc barked out a bitter laugh. “And say what? ‘No, don’t do it, Tony. I’ve been in love with you since I was sixteen. And by the way, in a fortnight, I’ll be your frigging stepbrother.’ Yeah, I can see that conversation going down really well.”

We've got blurbage:
When anthropologist Georgia Cortez heads to rural Georgia from New Mexico, she’s on the trail of a juicy old legend. Haley Falls seems like just the place for old-time ghost stories and spooky hauntings, but she’s on the hunt for something far rarer, a survival of an old sect of medieval knights.

Caid and Alton are Haley Fall natives, and they used to be best friends. A falling out years ago ended in them not speaking, even after Alt left town and returned older, if not wiser. They unite when it comes to a nosy scholar like Georgia picking apart their heritage, and putting their whole town in danger. When boys meet girl, though, they decide wooing is far better than scaring the lady off, and they set about distracting Georgia in the best way.

While their three way romance heats up, so does the intrigue in Haley Falls, until the three of them are facing a danger far worse than falling in love with each other.

And a sneak peek:
"Boys..." She felt all flushed and tipsy, like her skin was too hot. It was amazing.

"Alt..." Caid stared at Alton over her head. "You. Damn it." There was no anger there. Just a strangled heat.

Alton lifted one eyebrow. "Whut? We're all adults here. There's no reason not to enjoy ourselves."

Well, that was true enough. She sure was enjoying them. A lot.

Georgia took a bit of pizza and offered it to Caid, holding it up to his lips. "Want some?"

"Mmmhmm." Caid nipped it out of her fingers, licking at a little sauce that slid down to her knuckle.

She watched as he licked her finger clean, then offered a bite to Alton, going from sweet smile to wicked grin.

"Tasty." Alton was more blatant, nibbling her fingers along with the pizza, loving on her.

Her nipples were hard as rocks, her belly taut and tense.

"Lord, Caid. She smells good, huh?" Alton leaned on her, smiling across at Caid, hand pushing Caid's against her under the table.

"You both do." Caid said it on a moan, Adam's apple bobbing.

"Y'all are enough to make me breathless." Talk about mating rituals. Jesus. She could write a bestselling erotic thesis about them.

"You're the hottest thing I've seen since I laid eyes on Caid, and he's been resisting me for years."

Oh. Oh, God. Alton obviously had no filters. She took a moment to visualize that -- fine bodies moving, rubbing. Kissing. Oh. Pretty.

Caid made another one of those noises, sounding almost pained. "Y'all."

"I. Is there somewhere... The cook's watching us." And she wasn't putting on a show for the sixteen-year-old, acne-ridden mouth breather.

"My place." Alton threw a bunch of bills on the table, waving to the little teenagers who watched them avidly. "I need a box, kids."

"Alton has a place almost up to the falls," Caid whispered, breath hot on her neck.

"Okay." She sounded like a phone sex worker, all breathy and husky.

They packed up the pizza and headed out, Alton hustling them back to her little rental SUV. He didn't give either one of them time to think, either, just groped them both impartially.

"Alton, you're dangerous. Sit in the back seat."

"What? Why?" He pouted at her, but Caid punched his shoulder.

"Because no one can drive with you all over them, Alt. Get."

She gave in to her baser instincts and went up on tiptoe to kiss the corner of Alton's mouth. "I have to focus, huh?"

"Oh." Alton blinked, those pretty gray eyes bright. "Got it. I'll just sit in the back and..." He made an unmistakable motion with his hand.

She swatted him, chuckling. "Now, now. Don't pop too soon." She winked at Caid, offering him a quick kiss, too.

Caid surprised her with a kiss that curled her toes, capturing her mouth for a long moment before moving away. He went and sat in the passenger seat, staring, focused.

"Oh." Wow. Okay. Driving.

Driving would be good.

If you want love than the love has gotta come from you...

My niece pulled me into her room to watch a few youtube videos of one of her favorite comedians - Bo Burnham...I was like sure, why not, I'll humor her...and well, when I was done humoring her I went back to my room and googled him just so I could listen again—lots of great lines in this song, but that last line kills...

Interview In Process: Wet Paint @PridePromo @WillParkinsonau #authorinterview #bookcontest #mustread

I love when I get to turn the spotlight on an author and *cough cough* grill them good...hehe

Being an author has enriched my life in so many ways. The voices in my head have quieted down a little since I've started writing about them (save for Wick and Shan...nothing will get those two to shut up *heads desk*), I get to entertain people with my books, and I've met the most eclectic group of individuals around. I do so love the friends and family I've made through my writing...and am proud to have one of them here today...in my hot seat...answering my unedited questions...hehe.

Please welcome the multi-talented Will Parkinson to my blog. He's not only a great writer...he is a decent, good person who also happens to be completely and absolutely evil in nature...my god I love it! lmao He's promised to answer a few of my questions and give us a glimpse at his new release Wet Paint (which I have read and—well I'll save it for the questions).

Let's get to the basics of what everyone is dying to know...

So tell us Will...what don't you wear when you write up all these great reads?
Glasses. Shoes. Underwear. Not necessarily in that order.

And what are your go to munchies...what food powers your brain?
Believe it or not, these awesome teriyaki roasted seaweed strips from gimMe organic that Laura Harner turned us onto.

Any music playing in the background to keep the words flowing?
Barking dogs and whining cats. Does that count as music?

Alrighty then...that takes care of the basics.
Sooooooo...how do you feel about turning me into a perv for finding Benny totally drool-worthy? Nah...just kidding...kinda.
Amused and honored. And he’s eighteen by the end of the story, so you’re good to go on that one.

Speaking of Benny...how do you think he's changed from the first book? Were these changes intentional or did they surprise you as well?
Benny grew some. In Pitch he let Taylor push him away when things got rough. In Wet Paint, he hangs on tight and won’t let Addy do the same thing.

What's a one sentence synopsis of Wet Paint?
The story of Benny, Addy, a first kiss, and true love.

Now, the guy that stole Benny's heart...Addy...Will, you just about killed me with Addy's story. This poor man—Boy? Guy? Victim? You know what...take a moment and tell us how Benny sees Addy.
Benny sees Addy as someone he loves. Addy is not a victim, he’s not weak. Though Benny still wants to protect Addy. It’s a dichotomy for him, because Benny is someone who holds you close once he brings you into his family.

You force your readers to feel Addy's pain so vividly—not a bad thing at all, mind you. What kind of emotional backlash does that put on you as the author?
Some people thought I was too blunt with what happened to Addy. It happens. I tried to tone it down some, but I can’t sugarcoat it and make it seem like everything is okay, because it isn’t. If someone reads this book and gains strength as a survivor of emotional or physical abuse, then all the naysayers in the world don’t matter a bit.

Do you see a third book in this series happening? Oh I don't know...another kid from the camp perhaps?
There are two more potential stories for the series. One of them would be another young adult, the other would be new adult. And I have something rattling around for Benny and Addy that would be new adult or adult written by Parker Williams.

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie?
Oddly enough, I don’t know many young actors, so I don’t know who I could see in the roles. The young men whose pictures I used to make the Wet Paint video could really be my boys.

And finally...if you had to turn your experience with writing Wet Paint into an erotic novel...what would you title it?
Not Now, Daddy Has A Headache

<snorts>

About Will: WILL PARKINSON believes that no matter what obstacles are thrown in the path of young love, it will always find a way to win in the end. He wants his characters to have their happily ever after, but that doesn’t mean that it’s going to come easily.

None of this would have happened if he had followed the advice he was given many years ago. “What are you wasting your time on that for? It’s never going to amount to anything.” He believed it for the longest time, abandoning characters he’d created in his childhood.

He picked up his very first m/m story by a writer named Eden Winters, who was an absolute joy when they corresponded. She asked him if he wrote and he told her the story. Eden explained to Will that the voices in his head would never go away and how he needed to let them out. With that thought in mind, Will put e-pen to e-paper once more. It was truly a liberating experience and one he has no intention of giving up again.

We've got blurbage:
Although Addy’s heart and body bear the scars from his life before he was adopted by the Deans, he’s ached for something he thought he would never find. Until he met Benny. He isn’t sure how anyone can care for someone as broken as he is, even though he wants it desperately.

High school senior Benny Peters has his whole life planned out for him, until a chaste kiss at summer camp opens a new world of possibilities. Determined to erase Addy’s insecurities, Benny works to take away his boyfriend’s pain and replace it with love.

When Addy’s past intrudes on their future, it’s going to take everything Benny can muster to show that no matter what – or who – they face, they belong together.

Excerpt here:
ADDY SAT in the car, worry creasing his brow. Not even an hour ago, he’d been so happy. Why was he so nervous now? His thoughts drifted back to his conversation with his dad. Would Benny still want him when he found out what had happened? Would he think Addy was too broken? Addy shivered. He tried to tell himself Benny would never be like that, but how could he know for sure?

“What’s up, little man? I can hear you thinking from over here.” Benny chuckled.

“Nothing, Benny. I’m okay.”

“Addy, c’mon. I can tell you’ve got something on your mind. I need to know what it is. I can’t help if you won’t let me.”

Addy took a deep breath. “I’m afraid,” he admitted.

“Of what? Camp?”

“No... of losing you.”

“I don’t understand. Why would you think you’d lose me?”

“Benny.” Addy sighed. “I need to tell you some stuff. It’s not going to be easy, and it’s really not going to be nice.”

About Parker:  Parker Williams began to write as a teen, but never showed his work to anyone. As he grew older, he drifted away from writing, but his love of the written word moved him to reading. A chance encounter with an author changed the course of his life as she encouraged him to never give up on a dream. With the help of some amazing friends, he rediscovered the joy of writing, thanks to a community of writers who have become his family.

Parker firmly believes in love, but is also of the opinion that anything worth having requires work and sacrifice (plus a little hurt and angst, too). The course of love is never a smooth one, and Happily Ever After always has a price tag.

Excerpt:
Damian

I LOVED it when it was evening and all was quiet and peaceful. No traffic noise intruded into the house, and in the lounge, the only sound was the slow ticking of the clock on the mantelpiece. Give me a mechanical clock any day. Not that I had anything against more modern timepieces, but there was something soothing about the sound. The clock had been my grandmother’s, and I took loving care of it, making sure it was oiled and wound. Right then my evening was perfect: the tick of the clock, a glass of Cabernet on the table next to me, and a worn, hardcover Sherlock Holmes novel in my hands. I’d lost count of how many times I’d read The Hound of the Baskervilles, but re-reading a favorite book was a warm, comforting experience. The wine created a warm glow inside me. I took another sip.

And then my phone rang.

The temptation to ignore its clamoring call was huge. I was happy, comfortable, and anyone ringing me at home during the evening had to want something. All my friends knew my routines, especially since Oliver....

I closed my eyes. I could almost hear that edge of amusement in his voice. “You going to answer that, Sir?” And yes, I could see the gleam in his eye as he awaited my reaction, tense in nervous anticipation. Brat loved pushing my buttons. With a sigh, I picked up the call.

“Damian? It’s Leo. We need your help.”

I placed the wine on the table. “What can I do for you?” My interest was piqued immediately. It had been quite a while since the co-owner of my BDSM club had called me at home.

“Sorry to disturb you, but you were the first person I could think of. We have a boy. He’s nineteen, and he needs help.”
