Flash Fiction Friday #3

Oh boy!  It's Friday!  Yea!!!!
And I have a little tidbit here to share with you all - hope you enjoy my flashing ... hehe

"A sacrifice. Just because I'm the daughter of Puck, King of the Woodland Sprites, I have to get sacrificed?"
"Dear heart, your father means well. This is tradition. And watch your speak."
Windermere rolled her eyes and raised her arms to slide on her slip dress. She lifted her alabaster hair and let everything fall properly into place.
"You hate me!"
Leaves crunching from behind and a voice that ignited every nerve-ending stopped her.
"My little lamb, is that what you think marriage to me will be, a sacrifice?"
Windermere defiantly looked up at her betrothed. "Yes."
"No." He chuckled.

*closes trench coat quickly*  That's it ... that's all you get today ... but come on back next Friday and I'll make sure to have some more interesting tidbits for you to ogle ... mwah!

Oh and don't forget to hop on over to the other talented authors' blogs and enjoy their flashers ... I'm right behind you ... :)

  8. Havan, you have a deliciously twisted imagination and I love it. Perhaps he will "surprise" her when they consummate the marriage.

  10. I enjoyed this FFF, was a completely different direction than I expected. I can say an arranged marriage might be just as painful as physical sacrifice. :) nice FFF

  11. Great FFF. I wish there was more. Why does she think marriage is a sacrifice? Why does he want to marry her? What happens after he says No? UHG. Flash Fiction Friday needs to be longer.

  12. Yay for Fae-kind! Sprites...love it. Arranged marriages suck, but maybe he'll surprise her and show her he's really the only one for her. Then again, maybe she'll defy Daddy and skip out on her kind completely and seek out a tasty mors-mortal! ;)

  13. Oohh. It had the ring of an old time romance novel... the mouthy reluctant bride, the aggressive groom. I wanted him to rip off the slip and throw her down on the bed and have his way with her. Can't wait to read more. Great post Havan :)
