Flash Fiction Friday #8

Happy Friday everyone!
Are you ready for the flashing to begin????

So this Friday Flash Fiction is a number of talented authors getting together to describe a picture with just 100 words, not 101...not 99 - 100 hits the mark.

Enough idle chatter? Well if you say so...but I personally say I never can get enough...*smirks*

Okay *opens dressing room door and peeks in* today I'm flashing you Sera's goodies...she's come to the end of her soul searching road...

"Just sign the damn contracts!" Duke tossed a manila folder on the vanity, Sera's infamous picture in that billowy white dress slipping out and staring at her accusingly.

"No."

Her real friends walked in. She looked at them; Lenny was tall and lanky with a pock-marked face and David would have worked and owned that dress, seriously.

"You're choosing them over me and Vogue? You aren't a loser anymore Sera, you lost the flab—you're one of the beautiful now. Embrace it!"

"You'll always be blind, Duke. You see three losers standing in front of you, I see my future."

*****************************************

*sighs and quietly closes the door* Duke will never get it...

okay...now for the fun part - let us blog hop to the next yummy!

  9. I'm almost at a loss for words, these FFF posts just keep getting better and better. Havan, you have put a wonderful spin on this picture and turned it into a story within a story. I found myself wondering about the three "losers" and the bond they share, wondering what is their back-story. An excellent, excellent FFF post. It has me wanting more, and that in my opinion is the point.

  13. This was wonderful. I love a person that sees others with their "heart" and not their "eyes". It makes me want to know more about her and her changing from the ugly duckling into the graceful swan. But the swan keeps her empathy and compassion for other "ugly duclkings".
