Helllllllllo...
Happy Tantalizing
Tuesday!
Soooo...this is a new thing for me—not a new thing
in general...just for me...lol What I'm doing here is taking a picture of my
choice (scary now...huh? *giggles*) and writing a short 200 wd scene to it.
That's it...*claps hands up and down* 200 words, no
more and no less. Yes you can count them and keep me honest...and if I slip you
can punish me too...*winks* Now you're wondering how many times I might
'accidently' slip aren't you? *chuckes*
And before this intro becomes longer than the main
attraction (*gasps* shame on you all for thinking that way...oh you make me so
proud! *big smiles*) Let's get on it...
I love this pic, it screamed to me and I had to
answer...
"NO!" He bellowed from his soul.
How could they deny him entrance to his home? And for what? From
the moment he awoke with his wings he was taught one main virtue. Show love,
spread love, help people understand the immaculate power that love holds?
Who put these rules on love? Who stated that only a woman could
love a man?
Vanity was a sin. The worst of the seven sins though it commonly
hid under the word pride. Wasn't it vain to choose a lover from their outward
appearance?
Yet here he was, viciously exiled because he wasn't exercising
that sin. Because he fell in love with the soul of a person and not the
genitalia.
He was given a choice. A simple decision.
No matter which path he walked down nothing would be as it once
was.
He could forego his teachings and follow his heart.
He could forego his heart and follow his teachings.
His answer required no decision, though. He would follow his heart
and his teachings. If he be damned, then damn him.
The sun broke through the clouds. A loving warmth heated his
body through his skin to his soul.
He had chosen correctly.
*****************************************
Looks like no more than 200 words were needed to obtain his
answer, there really was no choice to be made. You love whom you love and the
rest be damned. But guess what...I'm not the only one to do this Tantalizing
Tuesday blog! No...honest I'm not! *giggles and grabs you* Get ready...get
set...let's go!

ReplyDeleteHavan, this is a powerful piece, very powerful. To follow one's heart when everything - our minds, our training, society, our families scream don't do it. Well, that is the toughest decision for a human being or it seems - even for an Angel to make.
