Dwight
eyeballed the stew and thought best to stick with the lentil rice and chicken.
He scooped some of both onto his plate and pushed it around, taking a small
bite here and there as he wondered exactly how long it took Pip to go to the
bathroom.
Even the back
of his mind laughed at him for hanging on to that thought. He knew his date
wasn't in the restroom.
The lights
dimmed and the music gradually increased in volume, but there were no other
signs that anything different was about to happen. No announcer appeared on
stage declaring that Dwight's world was about to be flip flopped upside down
and spun out of orbit.
There were no
warning signs when two beautiful women and now two men came out from behind the
curtain on stage and started gyrating to the foreign music.
Dwight's mouth
hit the table. He'd scene Pip completely naked at the spa so he knew that the
man wasn't as gangly as his clothes led people to believe, but oh my word, him
in a belly dancing outfit was pure, unadulterated sin.
Everything was
a lie that Dwight believed about belly dancing. First, it wasn't just for women—he
never thought of himself as sexist but yeah, he'd always pictured women when
thinking of this particular type of dance. Second, holy shit was this hot as
hell.
Pip and the
other man wore loose fitting genie bottoms, with long peek-a-boo slits cut from
ankles to hips on the outsides of their legs, and hanging from various parts of
their waist were long gauzy scarves in a variety of vivid colors. Gold string
looped tightly around their waists over the gauzy fabric, wrapped halfway down
their butts. Little gold jingles were attached all along it. Obviously these
gold pieces weren't there to make noise, but to enhance each movement.
The women wore
the same type of costumes on their lower halves, but they also wore cropped bustiers
studded with the gold dangles as well.
The emphasis on
the abdominal muscles and hips amazed Dwight, lots of other dances relied on the
footwork. When a drum solo started, Dwight, along with everyone else, leaned
forward and watched in amazement. All the dancers were superb at what they did,
but his gaze seemed glued to one specifically.
Pip held his
arms out straight with his pointer finger and thumb making a perfect circle as
his stomach muscles contracted and released with each boom of the drum. He
rolled his muscles upwards and popped his shoulders left then right, his
pectorals bouncing with the beat as he smiled at Dwight and winked. The four dancers
on stage took their time changing positions so Pip now stood directly in front
of Dwight's table, and he lifted his leg out, gyrated that side of his body,
then twisted so his back now faced out.
If his movements
from the front were mesmerizing...witnessing Erisyl dance across his back was
spellbinding. The way Pip isolated certain areas, twitching the muscles, made
it seem like Erisyl glided along with the music. All the while his hips kept
those tiny gold dangles vibrating in constant motion.
Erisyl stole
the show and soon everyone on Dwight's side of the stage was only interested in
Pip. When he turned again, blowing a kiss to Dwight, Dwight could see the other
side of the room become fascinated with his artwork also.
Though the
majority of Dwight was proud of the attention Pip received, a small fraction couldn't
help but wonder why this beautiful and talented man was interested in him...a
smaller piece was out and out jealous of the others watching his man.
Dwight sat up
straight, his cheeks burning with his thoughts. The pride and even the
insecurity he could push under the rug, those emotions weren't anything new to
him. Jealousy over his man, though, yeah that was new.
His man.
Pip was his
man.
He smiled
slowly to himself, liking the sound of that. Pip was his...his boyfriend.
"Well
thank god, I think you got it."
Blinking,
Dwight barely had time to realize that the man of his thoughts now leaned over
the table before Pip lowered his head and kissed him very thoroughly in the
middle of the restaurant.
Dwight chose to
believe the clapping was for the three dancers still on the stage.
To be cont'd...
